HAPA is a contemporary art collective founded by Costa Rican artists Jennifer Karczynski, Karen Olsen, and myself in 2020. Using a wide range of media such as drawing, installation, photography, and performance, we created an autoethnographic art process to explore themes. like feminism, power and heritage. We have participated in exhibitions such as Horizonte Espinoso (Museum of Contemporary Art and Design, Costa Rica, 2021), Recontarnos (La Revuelta de Arte, Guatemala, 2020), and Beyond, the sea sings (Times Art Center, Berlin, 2021).
